A long-standing tradition of GLCA is to give back to the community in which we work and help those in need:
- Members and volunteers helped to build a brand-new home for a soldier who suffers with TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) along with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
- Scholarships to deserving students that are dependents or employees of GLCA Members.
- Members and volunteers donated time, money and materials to assist with the construction of a new building at the Beacon Place in Waukegan, a not-for-profit that provides two meals a day to children in need over the summer months along with a free summer camp.
- Annually, we distribute prepared meals at Easter and Thanksgiving at our GLCA Giving Back food distribution events.
